Indicative Experience
UK: Negotiated and drafted various project specific schedules to a project agreement as well as the subcontract and other project specific documents including the independent tester’s appointment, custody agreement and parent company guarantee on behalf of SPV.
Middle East: Negotiated and drafted the largest global 25-year concession agreement for district cooling with external counsel. Drafted all ancillary documents such as collateral warranties, direct agreement, lease and licence on behalf of Lusail.
Middle East: Provided legal advice on infrastructure projects including asset transfers, project management agreements and cost share agreements with government authorities such as DEWA and RTA. Led the negotiation of a master cooling services agreements and various customer cooling services agreements.
UK: Provided the main interface between construction contractor, FM provider and project company whilst negotiating the project agreement for the £118M construction of the new 33,000m2 PFI hospital building. Negotiated subcontracts, consultant’s appointments and other project documents such as collateral warranties and parent company guarantee.
UK: Assisted with the drafting and negotiation of the Project Agreement for the £111M upgrade of North Middlesex Hospital up to December 2004.
UK: Negotiated various aspects of the Government Accommodation Project agreement and various schedules such as output specification, method statements, monitoring methodologies and key performance indicators, minor works schedule, telephone protocol, lift protocol, decant protocol and security schedule for the Home Office on their PFI project for the rationalisation of its central London accommodation costing £311M.
UK: Advised HM Treasury, HM Customs & Excise and the Inland Revenue on the GOGGS PFI project (East Wing and West Wing interface), a continuation of the high-profile GOGGS PFI Project, designated as a “flagship” by the Treasury Taskforce and costing £142M.
Middle East: Developed, drafted and negotiated a 25 year ICTE concession agreement. Developed approximately 40 sub framework agreements to deal with individual smart services, central control centre and access to ducts and utility tunnels on behalf of Lusail.
Asia Pacific: Advised on and negotiated port concessions in China, India and Indonesia.
UK: Represented London Olympic Committee in the granting of land rights to utilities concessionaires/owners for all utilities projects across the Olympic Park through wayleaves, easements, leases and licences. Also heavily involved in project documentation for the potable and non-potable water networks and the foul sewer.
