Niki is a Partner specialising in high-value, cross-border corporate and commercial transactions and projects in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Australia. Niki has extensive in-house experience at one of the largest conglomerates in the world, where she acted as General Counsel and member of the Management Committee, with diverse legal, compliance and corporate governance responsibilities. Niki has also worked in Greece as founding Partner of one of the preeminent private practice firms in Athens, acting for Government agencies, corporate clients, private equity funds and high-net-worth individuals.
Indicative Experience
UAE: Advised Dubai based conglomerate on all aspects of trading law including unfair contract terms, product liability and trading standards.
West Africa: Advised on USD 110 million Hospitality Project. Negotiated with Government agencies in relation to Public Private Partnership agreement, Tripartite and Autonomous agreements, Project Tax Exemptions, International Management agreement and Asset and Political Risk Insurance policies.
UAE/South Africa: Negotiated and advised in relation to 1,000,000 MT Commodities off take agreement with South African mine.
UAE/West Africa: Negotiated and advised in relation to an off take and exclusivity agreement with Government-owned mines.
UAE/France: Negotiated and advised in relation to joint venture for the USD 25 million purchase of two Ultramax vessels.
Germany/UAE: Advised senior executives in relation to director compensation policies, succession planning, and directors’ indemnities and disclosure obligations.
UAE/Wes Africa: Advised on USD 130 million Agriculture Project, including negotiations with government agencies and stakeholders.
Australia/West Africa: Oversaw all legal aspects of mineral exploration and developments, including joint ventures transfer of five tenements and establishment of management committees.
UK: Advised on USD 20 million + acquisition of a distressed asset under UK administration of mining plant.
USA: Advised on joint venture for private jet charter project in Africa, including the purchase of four Eclipse 550 aircraft.
UAE/Africa/Australia/India: Advised on drafting of politially sensitive commercial contracts, agency and franchising arrangements and joint venture agreements.
UAE/West Africa: Conducted legal due diligence and prepared business proposals on exports controls and foreign direct investments.
UAE: Led negotiations on all aspects of joint venture and production of development / Collaboration and Operating / Management agreements.
SEA: Due diligence and negotiations with government authorities, responsible for all aspects of documentation relating to a white oil storage expansion project.
Greece: Lead counsel in relation to EU conglomerate’s litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Greece: Advised national textile industry conglomerate on voluntary arrangements, corporate governance, litigation and employment matters.
Greece: Advised corporate clients inrelation to collective agreements, strikes and wrongful termination claims.
